COMBAT IN THE VALLEY(coming soon)

At Cambria Martial Arts Academy, our Youth or Juniors Martial Arts Program is second to none, and it is carefully structured to go a lot further that just simple punching and kicking.

We train our students using a basic philosophy of positive reinforcement to build self-esteem, confidence, discipline, positive attitude, and positive social values. We realize the ability to defend oneself is a very important factor in martial arts training, but we also emphasize many other useful and important benefits that are learned from training in martial arts, that are not just involved in the physical aspects of training.

Our unique martial arts program for kids is design to emphasize the following basic core values:

-- FUN ! - We want the children to have fun and enjoy learning martial arts... when a child enjoys and has fun training, it allows the desire to train more to grow.
-- We instill a positive attitude in our students towards learning, working towards a goal, team work, and more.
-- We teach the importance of strong social and moral values and good character.
-- We help the children in our youth class to learn respect for themselves as well as others around them.
-- Martial arts WILL improve a childs' concentration - you will see this apply itself to schoolwork as well as other activities your children participate in.
-- We teach our students self-discipline and self-control.

Our specialized Juniors or Youth Program offers a mix of training from several different martial arts styles and incorporates:

-- Kicking from the arts of Muay Thai and Kenpo.
-- Punches from the arts of Western Boxing and Muay Thai.
-- Throws and Take-Downs from Jui -Jitsu.
-- Ground Defense and Submission Locks from Jui-Jitsu & Shoot Wrestling.
-- Weapons training from Kenpo and Eskrima.

Also, as a general rule, we try to end each class with some special activity or competition to improve agility, balance, strength, stamina, or speed (this helps to let the kids see that there is a good bit of fun to be had from training for a positive goal, and it doesn't all have to just be hard work !) and these activities include the following games and more:

-- Long Jump Competitions.
-- Relay Races.
-- Tug Of War.
-- Obsticle Courses.
-- Shoot The Hole.
